Mon, 26 September 2005 Robert Moog, inventor of the electronic synthesizer and the godfather of electronic music, passed away on August 21st of this year. Before the Moog Synthesizer, electronic instruments were limited to the Theremin and tape loops. Within 15 years, his machine led to the development of drum machines, sequencers, 303's, etc,. All of the music on this show wouldn't exist if not were for the work of Robert Moog. He changed music forever and techno, hip hop, electro and others all owe their existence to him.
